Peltola represented the entire state until she lost this year. She lost against Begich which is a huge name in Alaska politics. She's far more likely to win against a more unknown schlep like the senator right now than a rematch against Begich.

Note that alaska is at large congressional. So it's the same voters for senate as for house. Also her and Murkowski are besties who always endorse each other. Running for Senate with Murkowskis endorsement against senator rando-mcrandom is a far better bet than against a Begich.

I feel dumb now, I'll self-delete.

But anyway, I agree with you. A Democrat can win statewide in Alaska.

I kept tallies of texts during this election. And her votes this year. "The Dear Friend"when you've voted to condemn Biden's handling of the border a few minutes earlier is unacceptable.

I like Democrats like Sue Altman, Jasmine Crockett, Lauren Underwood . .. They get people like me. Altman gets money in 2026. Sue came close enough to take down Kean Jr in 2026.

She can carve out votes from the two Indies and pick up enough to knock marble mouth Kean JR.

Why would I send one dime out of the 7th CD?
