The universe has a sense of humor. The last words he says is "sham impeachment," speaking of trump's last impeachment:

(7,688 posts)I nearly passed out in church once when I was 15 - due to being in a tight-buttoned collar, heat, stand up/sit down during songs. I remember I walked out to head for the restroom and the blood wasn't making it to my head - searching for the men's room it was like black paint was running down over my vision as blood exited my head and I couldn't read whether the sign on the door I was at was men or women. If I'd been required to talk I probably wouldn't have been able to form words. I found the right door and after sitting down on the floor with my back against the wall and collar unbuttoned I was fine as circulation restored. I lucked out that I never lost full consciousness or fell down.
That said, fainting can be the initial indicator of a stroke since it similarly causes insufficient blood flow to the head, but a stroke won't self correct since there is a blood clot or other damage internally causing loss of blood to the brain.
This is why it's not uncommon for people in wedding parties to faint - standing up for a long period of time in rented formal clothes and shoes they're not used to wearing that might not fit properly and restrict blood-flow under stressful circumstances that potentially causes their heart rate to be elevated. And they've probably had a couple of drinks which elevates heart rate and thins the blood.

(6,789 posts)It happened to one of my colleagues in a faculty meeting several years ago. She was talking, and then she wasn't. And then she was down. Luckily one of the people in the meeting was an EMT and did what needed to be done immediately. She has fully recovered, fortunately.

(302 posts)The slurred speech before falling looks a lot more like drugs, booze, or a neurological problem. Maybe all three.
He was just doing the Hegseth segue.

(35,275 posts)We are back. What a surreal experience. Maybe I took my Joe Biden impression just a little too far, he joked in a social media post Monday night.
All kidding aside, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the exceptional medical team at New York Presbyterian Hospital. The EMTs, nurses, and doctors provided me with outstanding care, he continued.

After thanking those who reached out to him, Bruesewitz apologized to Trump social media handler and incoming deputy White House chief of staff, Dan Scavino.
My bad for ruining your introduction, he wrote. I assure you, the rest of my speech was going to be great!
According to alt-right figure and Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec, who said he had spoken to Bruesewtiz backstage after the unexpected fall, the bizarre incident was the result of a brief fainting spell.

like he might be having a stroke. His speech sounded slurred, kind of.
