Whitetail itself was home to eight people in 2022, with a total of 44 people living in the 59276 Zip code. Whitetail is in Daniels County, Montana, home to 1,633 people.

Of those 1,633 people, 932 voted for either former president Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris in the November election. About 83 percent of those voters — 778 of the 932 — backed Trump.

That level of support was common for Trump in heavily rural areas like Daniels County. But it’s unlikely that the support was rooted in the idea that Trump might soon make it far more expensive to send mail to and from those places.
