(17,564 posts)Those who kick the leader of their own party ceaslessly for three years over every pet progressive issue he wasnt supporting aggressively enough, might want to reconsider that behavior in the future.
Just saying.

(3,240 posts)years? Which leader are you referring to -- President Biden, the Minority Leader, the Speaker Emerita? -- because if you are talking about the President nobody was more loyal and supportive than AOC.
Another knee-jerk attack on someone who has become a very loyal party leader. Just saying, too.
Pet progressive issues, eh?

They are all on the other end of the Democratic House caucus ideological spectrum than AOC is, so I would posit you probably should not expect to hear about their actual anti-Biden legislative actions/attempts from an AOC critic:
Democrats Josh Gottheimer (NJ), Wiley Nickel (NC), Scott Peters (CA), and Donald Davis (NC) are all co-sponsored at least one of multiple bills that would stifle regulators ability to bring down prices of drugs covered by the Medicare. The bills would significantly reduce or outright block the drug price reduction framework contained in Biden's 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.

All 4 are in the moderate/centrist New Democrat Coalition, and Nickel and Gottheimer are also in the conservative Blue Dog Coalition.

and the Ensuring Pathways to Innovative Cures (EPIC) Act,

would delay or block the price reduction apparatus for many other drugs.

(34,761 posts)with citation would help. You indicated "those who kick the leader of their own party". Define "those" and define "leader" please. Let's see some concrete facts.

You will get citations from the 2020 primaries through early to mid 2024.

No reason to do that. Im not attacking a dem. Im just making a rec for future behavior of potential party activists.

(3,071 posts)of forum rules? Since when?
getagrip_already
(17,564 posts)Ive seen a few things.
But lets play a thought game.
Someone posts a link to a story in a major pub where dem a criticizes dem b over some hot button issue.
Ok, looks innocent, right? Just a link to an article by a respected journalist.
But it violates the rule of not attacking dem b by posting the attack, or by spreading rw talking points. Someone could also argue you are attacking dem a by saying they are attacking dem b unfairly over the issue because reasons.
So you find yourself juried and depending on the luck of the draw you could get a ride on the pine keyboard.
But i wasnt talking about anyone specific actually. There was a general trend. Lots of our pols were in the trend.

(11,520 posts)You win some, you lose some, then stand up to fight another day. Or as Hillary Clinton reminded us:
It's not about falling down. We all fall down. It's all about the way you get up, dust yourself off, and then go on.
AOC is a force to be reckoned with, a young woman who has matured in the job. She'll enter the fray again. She'll be fiercer and ready to jump any obstacle.
Again.
Because she's young, passionate and made for this sort of struggle, even when it looks overwhelming. Or perhaps more precisely because it looks so overwhelming.
Time and energy are on her side.
