A political nadir is the right time to go full-on anti-gun.
No more tiptoeing around the issue by merely calling for assault weapons bans and common sense gun laws.
State the objective boldly rather than timidly equivocating on it.
There should be fewer guns and less ammunition in the hands of the public.
There should be less firearms domestically manufactured, imported and sold into American society.
Guns seized in criminal cases should be destroyed rather than re-sold to the public, which is what is commonly done by local governments.
Incarceration doesn't need to be further emphasized. War on the "inanimate object" should be the point.
When sufficient gun violence finally convinces voters that enough is truly enough, Democrats may finally look like leaders rather than mealy-mouthed appeasers on the issue of firearms.
No more of this "I'm a gun owner too" stuff. It should consistently be guns are bad and ammunition empowers evil.
In my opinion, this is an excellent topic to beat up Trump and the Republicans with. They are nothing more than delusional apologists on this issue.
