Elon Musk's mom faces backlash after saying people should have children even if they can't afford them

Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, is facing criticism after suggesting that people should have children regardless of whether or not they can afford them.

On Sunday (December 15), the billionaire’s mother appeared on Fox and Friends with Rachel Campos-Duffy, where she was asked about her response on X (formerly Twitter) last month to a comedian who claimed that it was too expensive to have children. In her post, Musk argued that if certain expenses such as going out to eat were eliminated it was possible to still start a family.

“Having children is the greatest gift in your life. When Elon was born, we were in a small two-bedroom apartment overlooking a garage. When Kimbal was born, we moved to a two-bedroom apartment with a view. When Tosca was born, we moved to a two-bedroom house. All in the same area,” her response began.

“We didn’t go out for dinner nor to the movies. As my former husband was promoted at the engineering firm, we upgraded our lifestyle. He then opened his own engineering firm, and we could move to a beautiful home in a better area.”

The fewer the workers, the more choosy they can be. Employers are going to have to offer a lot more than just “You should just feel lucky to have a job!” if they want someone who can actually do the job.

Better pay, better benefits, better working conditions. All these happen during times of labor scarcity.

So the useless, brainless, feckless, worthless idle rich want all of us to have more children in order to create a labor surplus that results in the crushing, grinding, soul-killing working conditions we have been trying to improve for a century and a half.

Are the predators scared that the labor supply will shrink so much it will force them to improve pay and working conditions? Did they pressure the SCROTUS SIX to overturn Roe? They sure wouldn't want to lose their multimillion-dollar salaries and bonuses. If only (unpaid) AI and robots could do ALL the jobs they need done to stay in business and keep boosting their stock prices.

…of that foul document were the ways Alito and Roberts resurrected shaming language I grew up with, and at the same time made it clear that the job of women was to produce an adequate supply of babies, including adoptable babies. Now in the bad old days, the “production” of adoptable babies was very largely up to teenage high school girls, who were induced by the threat of a lifetime of shame and poverty to give up their babies.

Contraception was not readily available to young unmarried women, much less underage teenagers. Griswold vs Connecticut — guaranteeing married couples in their homes the right to obtain and use contraception was not decided until 1965, the year I graduated from high school.

In Dobbs, Clarence Thomas (I think it was he) opined that all the SCOTUS decisions based on a notion of “privacy” needed to be re-examined — and the bastard enumerated them: everything from Griswold to Obergefell (gay marriage)

So in answer to your original question: yes, women and girls are duty bound to provide the patriarchy with babies, regardless of our personal desires or circumstances, including health and poverty and education. Seems like Elon Musk’s mama agrees.

I hate the Skeezy Six.

Thanks. no sarcasm here. Sometimes it's hard to tell when people are being serious these days.

The whole R party is following Bannon's strategy of flooding the zone with shit.

They have no constructive tendencies only destructive ones. I appreciate you identifying the shit, so others don't have to step in it.

Not the lack of a living wage or affordable housing. Dinner and a movie.

How selfish of people! All those movies and dining out!
