Raw Story: 'All talk, no action': Congressman vows to oppose Mike Johnson as Elon Musk issues warning

Raw Story - 'All talk, no action': Congressman vows to oppose Mike Johnson as Elon Musk issues warning

Conservatives are fuming over House Speaker Mike Johnson's spending bill, and Donald Trump's outside allies are leading the charge.

Congressional leaders unveiled a continuing resolution that would avoid a government shutdown for at least three months, but Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, co-heads of the budge-cutting Department of Government Efficiency, pushed for Republicans to vote against the measure — and suggested any Republican voting for it should lose their seats.

"Any member of the House or Senate who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out in 2 years!" Musk posted on X.

"They deserve to be," replied right-wing influencer Laura Loomer. "But they won’t because the GOP is all talk. No action. There is zero accountability and so as a result, nobody takes calls for accountability seriously because instead of being ruthless and punishing politicians, the GOP has promoted a Kumbaya culture of suicidal unity and forgiveness."

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who has been outspoken in his support for Musk and DOGE, responded with the eyes emoji to indicate he was watching the tech CEO's threat to lawmakers who support the spending measure.

That’s the conservative ticket. Not smart and compassionate. Not knowledgeable and budget savvy. Not law abiding and honest. Ruthless and punishing. Because it’s so much easier.

The republicans want absolute power. Trump is the one who will give it to them. Once they achieve their terrible goal, he's no longer useful to them, they will cast him aside. Vance wasn't electable by any stretch of the imagination, but Trump steps down or dies in office, Vance will be in it for the long haul.

It was 100% a political hit job meant to silence opposing voices while elevating fascist assholes like libsoftiktok and Russian stooge Tucker Carlson. And meanwhile, Elon's fortune has grown exponentially since then. How Elon got away with that is completely insane.
