Channeling the Grinch Elon Musk Calls For Government Shutdown Over Christmas

Elon Musk, the new head of Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, is now calling on the federal government to close until January 20th, after Donald Trump is sworn into office. In a new post to Twitter, Musk said that no new bill should be passed by Congress until after Trump takes office.

The only problem with Musk's comments are that if Congress does not pass an additional funding bill by Friday night, the government will enter a shutdown period, which will have devastating impacts on federal workers. Under Musk's proposition, the federal government would remain closed for about one month, which would represent one of the longer shutdowns in recent history.

A government shutdown would lead to federal employees being furloughed during Christmas and the holiday season. It would further disrupt government programs like Social Security and make it harder for Americans to receive critical benefits. In addition, a shutdown would make it harder to travel as TSA employees would be operating in a limited capacity during the busiest travel season of the year.

..... so they don't care if the airports get all clogged up during the holiday season. Their private jets will depart and arrive without a hitch ,... no skin off their backs.

Inauguration Day is just a formality.

Apparently the power transfer is now Election Day, the moment the race is called.

We have to keep up with the times.

I’m kinda old fashioned and think that one president at a time is enough.
These stupid oligarchs are going to try our patience.

about the proposed bill. He's lying, and he's the guy MAGA is giving so much influence to. He shot his credibility right there. Why should anyone trust him now?
