Raw Story: 'He's weak': Trump comment said to show one Dem attack is 'getting under his skin'

Raw Story - 'He's weak': Trump comment said to show one Dem attack is 'getting under his skin'

Donald Trump made a statement on Sunday that many critics interpreted as exhibiting his weakness.

President-elect Donald Trump used a speech to MAGA supporters to strongly push back on claims that billionaire Elon Musk had effectively taken over his presidency. While speaking to Turning Point USA's AmFest conference attendees on Sunday, Trump argued that "big companies" wanted him to cut regulations more than slashing taxes.

"But no, he's not going to be president that I can tell you," Trump also insisted. "And I'm safe. You know why? He can't be. He wasn’t born in this country."

This comment went viral, with Scott Dworkin, the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Democratic Coalition, saying, "This confirms that Musk is the President-Elect."

Popular satire account Mrs. Betty Bowers replied with, "This is great for two reasons: (1) it shows that all this President Musk talk is getting under Donald’s notoriously thin skin; and (2) it has to be very insulting to JD Vance."

Wow, that's pretty far to go.

But YES Trump is weak. Isn't it obvious to everyone not in the cult? Think of his campaign appearances. So often it seemed as if the burden of even having to speak exhausted him. What "charisma" he may have had in 2016 is long since gone, along with what passed for his "sense of humor." Show me someone with no sense of humor and I'll show you a person on the way out.

And he thinks the only reason it won't happen is Elon "wasn't born in this country." Trump is afraid.

It seems like whenever I would see reporting, he was in three or four or five cities or states a day doing his "rallies." It seemed like he had endless energy and would never stop. I don't know to what I should attribute this phenomenon.

That he can talk for 30 minutes five times a day after traveling by private plane?
That's not a phenomenon. Common sense suggests that he was doing it because it's that it's not that difficult.
Much simpler explanation than attributing it to some unspecified "phenomenon".
