'He's weak': Trump comment said to show one Dem attack is 'getting under his skin'

By David McAfee
Published December 22, 2024 3:52 PM ET

Donald Trump made a statement on Sunday that many critics interpreted as exhibiting his weakness.

President-elect Donald Trump used a speech to MAGA supporters to strongly push back on claims that billionaire Elon Musk had effectively taken over his presidency. While speaking to Turning Point USA's AmFest conference attendees on Sunday, Trump argued that "big companies" wanted him to cut regulations more than slashing taxes.

"But no, he's not going to be president that I can tell you," Trump also insisted. "And I'm safe. You know why? He can't be. He wasn’t born in this country."

1. Trump's argument makes no sense.

No one is saying that Musk is literally going to run for the presidency or be sworn in.

It is obvious that Trump has allowed Musk to take a great deal of power and in essence
act like POTUS. Whether Musk is foreign born or not has no bearing on this fact.

full, majestic power of the Executive Department of the Government of the United States. Until then, Trump has no real power over Musk except protestations, social media messages, and banishment from Mar a Lago.

Once he becomes the boss, Trump will have access to the country's national security apparatus. That includes black ops capability that would make Machiavelli gasp in awe.

Musk may want to alter his "neener neener I'm the richest man in the world and you can't stop me" shtick after a little contemplation of the fate of Yevgeny Prigohzin, who also thought he could thumb his nose at the real boss, Vladimir Putin. Not all the money in the world can protect you; not having your own private army can protect you if the black ops people receive instructions to remove a redundancy. "And make it look like an accident."

I wonder what the MAGA equivalent of a 6th floor window in a Moscow high-rise will be.

5. I think that this traitor should have the 14th Amendment thrown in his face..............

The 14th Amendment

Disqualification from holding office
Those who "engaged in insurrection" against the United States are prohibited from holding any civil, military, or elected office.

Because he did stand on a stage...............and tell his insurrectionist buddies to do what they did.............just saying...........why have a constitution with amendments .........and he should play in the prison practice squad............if the coach can get him off the bench.........in fact some citizen's should file a lawsuit against him on this amendment.............
