How dare Senate Republicans DEFY tRump by doing their jobs of Advising and Consenting on Cabinet picks that could do harm to this country? tRump is getting a dose of his own medicine. Perhaps there are Senators with a spine after all.Intimidation will not work this time because they have read this playbook before when it comes to controversial picks.

Republicans who oppose Trump's Cabinet nominees could find themselves with a lump of coal — or a primary challenger — in the next Congress. Donald Trump is making a naughty list and checking it twice.

That’s according to one Republican senator who likened the public pressure the president-elect is putting on members of Congress to confirm his Cabinet nominees next year to Santa Claus handing out lumps of coal to misbehaving children.

“Everybody toe the line, everybody line up,” Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said at a conference earlier this month, characterizing Trump’s approach. “We got you here, and if you want to survive you better be good. Don’t get on Santa’s naughty list here because we will primary you.”

8. I think Murkowski is the only one on that list you can count on voting her conscience across the board.

I don't think she will be intimidated by primary threats from Musk & Trump. I could see McConnell going against Trump on some things but not many. Collins will do her usual "very concerned" thing then only vote against Trump if it doesn't make a difference. I would hope Ernst would vote against the likes of Hegseth & Gabbard given her military background, but she seems likely to capitulate. I don't know enough about the rest of them, but wouldn't count on any of them doing the right thing.
