Perhaps the greatest scam in American history

Has been convincing Americans making $50K - $55K a year with shitty healthcare and retirement benefits, that their "true enemy" is NOT the billionaires and millionaires that own and control everything, but it is their fellow Americans making $52K - $57K a year with somewhat decent healthcare and retirement benefits.

If you understand that, you understand how Retrumplicans win elections.

He convinced white Americans that "lazy brown and Black people" (not his or his followers' exact words - you can fill in the blanks) are getting money and services from "bleeding heart liberals who don't know any better" (again, not the exact words) and it's coming out of the pockets of ordinary white people.

That's it. That's their whole strategy. It's still working beautifully.

The old, time-tested way for a handful of bullies and fraudsters to defeat much larger groups.

I'm convinced that most voters, Dem or Republican, actually agree on as many or more issues than they disagree on (ask anyone you know whether more bankers should have been prosecuted after the 2008 Crash, or how they like our health care system), but that we're allowing TPTB to keep us inflamed & hypnotized by wedge issues – thus ensuring that we fail to make any progress on the issues we actually agree on.

when an elderly woman in a beat-up old car made a u-turn in front of me. She had a bumper sticker that read “Stop inflation, vote Republican”.

madness. Once a criminal gets away with murder, he/she will do it again, not only that, they will try new and bigger things to push the envelope and see how much they can get away with. trump has been able to get away with so much crime throughout his life, he feels invincible and will continue to try bigger evil things until justice finally gets him.

How is it that Fani Will has been kicked out of the Georgia RICO case? He will continue to try for other things, and as long as the cowards in the justice department, the supreme court, the republican party kneel to kiss his ring, he will try bigger and bigger things.

But understand that this is not only the trump republicans, this has been going on for some time, and while Democrats show a lack of courage and don't start to hit them hard, it will continue.

Nancy Pelosi has done a disservice to the country and to the Democratic party by campaigning against AOC, we need her and people like her to fight the thugs from the republican party, people who can hit hard. Shame on Pelosi, it will be her legacy within the Democratic party. No wonder voting Democrats decide to either stay home or vote for people they know cannot win, its what little revenge or escape to let go of the anger to the party that drives them to do it, and these politician fossils cannot understand that (yes, Pelosi is part of that group now), they, like republicans, want to stay in power, in control, not realizing the damage the cause.
