The US handed over ownership of the canal to Panama on December 31, 1999. It belongs to Panama now. George H.W. Bush invaded Panama in 1989 and deposed Noriega after Panama declared war on the U.S. Maybe Trump can claim being evicted from his shitty hotel is a declaration of war.
