A lot of the other things are right wing exaggerations and lies.

(35,360 posts)and puberty-blocking drugs for middle-schoolers with Gender Dysphoria. I think the bathroom issue is a distant 3rd now.
There are plenty of Dems that have qualms about both those issues, as overblown as they are. Apparently, in all of NCAA Sports this year, there were TEN transgender women, out of more than a half-million student-athletes.

(2,560 posts)Vice President Harris with transition surgeries for prisoners and a group of high-school girls playing basketball against a very tall 20 something year old man in drag. BTW that was 30-40% of their ads so it worked.

(25,320 posts)Just the sports and surgery ad. Well maybe a few immigration ads. But that's about it.

(14,879 posts)and all of that is being taken away, right now, in multiple states. And there is no real problem with bathrooms, and there is no real problem with transgender women in sports. Both of those are the actual focus of rightwing lies and exaggerations, that and of course puberty blockers for transgender children, another manufactured non-real problem but one that has transformed the lives of trans gender youths, allowing them to postpone care decisions until they are adults.

(47,615 posts)Tolerance and silence. Because it takes the high road while placing the spotlight on those who choose to display their intolerance. If they want to make an issue out of live and let live, have at it.

(596 posts)I personally have problems saying "they" (plural) when I formerly would say "he or she." I would write it as "s/he."
I am not offended by any such things, but I am supposedly "woke."
Those who are less-than-liberal often use gender interpretations as an excuse to be offended.

(596 posts)I remember the famous Timothy Leary using the word "hir" to mean "him or her." I liked it!

(17,201 posts)I watched a lot of their campaign events and they always talked about it.
I dont really know why Harris Walz is being depicted as being silent because that just isnt true. Perhaps NOTUS has a hidden agenda, but I keep hearing this about Harris Walz and I am compelled to say something.
Plus NOTUS has a paywall, so I cant read anymore than what you posted.

(14,879 posts)The leadership is constantly pushing the party to the right on economic issues, and now also on social issues. Forever chasing the nonexistent moderate republican voters, because that worked for Clinton, and arguably for Obama. It makes us appear utterly unconvinced of the validity of our own core beliefs.

(90,896 posts)And if they were running instead of Harris they would probably have publicly come out against Transgender women in women's sports and maybe any certain treatments or procedures for minors.
Kamala Harris already had to deal with the misogyny.

(56,752 posts)My low-information ex-gf (who is now "born again" abandoned Harris and wrote in Cornel fuckin' West just because of "forced transition of kids and boys playing girl's sports" 🙄
And even though it had nothing to do with us, that Algerian boxer in the Olympics who became a global controversy after everyone smeared as a man also hurt us badly...

(90,896 posts)most that learned democratic were supporting it. While most Republicans opposed it. There are always a few on both sides that took the opposite position but mostly support and opposition went by party .
But on certain areas concerning transgender people many that lean.left are opposed . Even many gay , lesbian and bi people are opposed.
