Normally people welcome a new year with hope and an idea of promise. Nothing is "normal" right now.

Of course there are still those around us, in the media (of course), who are trying to normalize these times.

2. Season's Greetings? Yeah, not feeling it around ours house either.

Elected (?) president and un-elected owner of that guy are not going to make anything great but their own wealth.

Deciding to just up and take over a canal running thru a sovereign nation just because they want you to pay taxes due is not gonna make anything great.

Pretending it is OK to tell people you are gonna just up and buy or otherwise acquire other nation's lands just because you want the resources is not gonna make anything great.

Building another huge factory in a nation waging economic war against us isn't going to make anything great.

Putting sales taxes, AKA tariffs, on massive amount of imported goods is not going to make anything great.

Putting completely unqualified con men and crooks in charge of important federal departments just to keep them quiet, or because they will do what they are told by other con men is not gonna make anything great.

Insulting or threatening allies and forcing political/economic isolationism is no gonna make anything great.

Sending critical workers out of the nation is not gonna lower food prices, nor improve health care, nor help affordable housing get built.

To keep trying to not give up and become a total hermit in my short remaining time is taking more energy than I have left. Season's Greetings? More like pass the anti-depressants and start a victory garden so you can eat.
