Toyota donating $1m to Donald Trumps inauguration report (The Guardian)The report, per Reuters citing a company spokesperson, comes one day after Ford and General Motors said they would donate $1m each to the president-elects inaugural fund. The two US automakers will also provide vehicles to the 20 January event, the outlet reported.
The donations follow similar $1m contributions by Amazon and Meta as large companies look to cozy up to Trump in return for favorable treatment after he is in office. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has also said he would make a personal donation of $1m.
Trumps proposed tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada would affect many automakers and could deliver supply chain shocks across the auto industry.

What really scares me is there's an entire generation of teens and twenty-somethings who are growing up believing this is how legitimate presidents behave...

(56,752 posts)So any corporation that isn't already in line at mar-a-lago with a "donation" to the "inaugural fund" or "presidential library" is falling behind to their competitors...
And this has to be by far the wealthiest "inaugural fund" in recorded history... But there's no point investigating it because Donnie and his apartheid errand boy are 100 percent above any laws of God or man...
I just want to know what all those working class white folks who evidently can't afford bacon think about their vote for this parade of billionaire corruption...
