Not an Admin, just an old-timer. Nope, putting someone on Ignore just saves you from seeing what they post Hekate Wednesday #6

I assume I've been put on total ignore a bunch of times in the last 17 years. I've never been notified. Iggo Wednesday #9

They can start threads and write posts and you won’t see those posts. They can respond to something you write, and you won’t see it. They have no idea that is the case — they do not get notified.

Whew. A source of stress painlessly removed from your DU experience.

I just did that. But not always. I have loads of people on ignore here so I don’t even see a lot of what’s posted here unless I happen to be reading when I’m not logged in. It certainly makes for a more pleasant experience.. for me now it’s one strike and you’re out 😀
