I used to watch TYT. Ten or more years ago, I referred to Ana as "the most naked women reporting the news." She would frequently wear the most revealing outfits -- just tiny shoulder straps -- and then work into the conversation her love of sex. There were details.

This is what she would do to get attention.

Then she got married to "Christian" and we got to hear how great he was for her needs.

Much of the seemingly spontaneous conversation between Cenk and Ana is written beforehand. Her outrages and rants are scheduled in advance.

The shame is they are both hyper intelligent people. But, they choose the paths of ego and money over truth telling.

I agree with most but certainly not all of their positions. They seem to be flailing around suddenly having no idea how to advance their progressive economic agenda. Now they seem to be trying to have common cause with podcasters etc on the right. I can’t see how that will work. I still think they are overall a good source of information for stories that don’t get the coverage they deserve and I think he’s a good political analyst. I get why people get pissed watching him scream at a lefty that mostly just disagrees on strategy and buddying up to someone like Charlie Kirk that agrees with him on about 10% of issues.

37. Historically, I have agreed with the Turks politically. I'm a Bernie Sanders kind of guy.

I stopped regular watching of TYT years ago because:
- There are many alternatives competing for my viewing attention.
- I don't like Ana's personality. Never did. Not even a little.
- Some of the TYT commentators are just rank amateurs with microphones.

Again, they are very intelligent people, but Cenk and Ana each have their own unique arrogance. I find it off-putting.

Ana seems to be on her own trip now going wherever.

I don't blame anyone for not watching the "Ana Kasparian quits" video, but if you did, you would hear some outrageous things from Uygur. He claims that MAGAs aren't as bad as Democrats make them out and his proof is that they hate Mitch McConnell and Dick Cheney as well. Like how can they be bad if they hate these bad people? Apparently he's unable to understand the concept of degrees of evil. McConnell & Cheney are terrible, but they at least didn't try to end democracy itself.

Another ridiculous claim he made is MAGAs are more welcoming than those on the "left" . Like you can agree with just 5% of MAGA and they will welcome you while the "left" demands you agree with them 100% of the time. That last claim would sure be news to people posting here on DU. There isn't anywhere close to uniform agreement here yet everyone is welcomed as long as they aren't clearly MAGA trolls. On the other hand, Cenk shows how disingenuous he is with the claim of MAGAs being welcoming as long as you agree with them in part while encouraging their booing of Mcconnell, Dick Cheney & Liz Cheney. Liz Cheney voted with Trump approximately 97% of the time, yet was kicked out of the party. Any Republican who dares say even one thing about Trump that is not praising him (it doesn't even have to be negative) is called a RINO. Musk and Trump have promised to Primary anybody who dares votes against Trump on anything. An Cenk calls this welcoming? Of course he knows better, he just decided he can probably make more money going forward by grifting off the MAGAs than pretending to be a liberal. Liberals/progressives/leftists caught onto his act a long time ago and any who have been paying attention know he was a fraud. TYT has been losing viewers/subscribers and money for a while know, hence the reason for this shift.

Starting with the history of the name he gave his show. Too much of an edge lord or talking for expediency's sake vibe. Raised red flags immediately, even though in the beginning, his positions seemed to be aligned with positions I held.

There's always been a contrarian edge to his show and hosts. Over the years, I've been ignoring them, including Ms. Kasparian (the token "liberal" ) more and more. More like a politically savvy Joe Rogan than an actual progressively minded host.
