(15,762 posts)I don't approve of scolding or shaming those with or without faith.
I think organized religion CAN BE good for a cohesive community... or it can create bigotry and violence.
OTHERISM is the poison of society.

If you're a believer, don't invite me over for coffee and start proselytizing me... their favorite line is "Which church do YOU go to?"
If you're not a believer, don't shit on THEIR beliefs and community.

Which just goes to show that without experience or other sources you can't take anything you read at face value - even when it's gussied up with terms like "AI" or "Deep Learning" or whatever this month's euphemism is. The same goes for traditional sources, such as printed matter: verify if it's important.

(3,097 posts)Me: Do you believe that Jesus Christ was literally resurrected?

As an AI, I don't hold beliefs or personal convictions. However, I can provide insight into how the resurrection of Jesus Christ is understood and discussed:
Christian Perspective: Many Christians believe that Jesus Christ was literally resurrected from the dead, as described in the New Testament. This belief is central to Christian theology and is seen as a cornerstone of faith.
Historical and Theological Debate: Outside of religious belief, the resurrection is a topic of historical and philosophical discussion. Some argue for its historicity based on textual evidence and accounts of early Christians, while others view it as a symbolic or mythological narrative rather than a literal event.
Different Worldviews: People from other religious traditions or secular perspectives might interpret the resurrection metaphorically or as a story meant to convey spiritual truths, rather than a historical occurrence.
Would you like to discuss the theological, historical, or symbolic aspects of this topic?

(3,926 posts)It gave a synopsis of Christian dogma regarding the literal resurrection and also said some consider it allegorical. I didn't see anything objectionable. If I asked it if Mohammed was the prophet of Allah I would expect it to give the Muslim argument for it.
