about it till it happens? I'm hearing more and more of this. Most people know trumps going to squash the middleclass to keep those tax cuts.
Yeah I'm worried with good reason.

(34,756 posts)is that whenever something bad happens and I complain - people say, "well why didn't you say something?"
So, the reality is that they are going to do their crappy deeds either way. And they really don't want to hear complaints before, during, or after.

(173 posts)There's only two things to worry about in life:
1. If you're well or ill.
If you're well, there's nothing to worry about.
If you're ill, there only two things to worry about; if you live or die.
2. If you live, there's nothing to worry about.
If you die, there are only two things to worry about; whether you go to Heaven or Hell.
3. If you go to Heaven, there's nothing to worry about.
If you go to Hell, there's nothing to worry about because you'll be too busy greeting old friends to worry.

(20,152 posts)If his threat comes true, we gotta find a way to manage but we wont know until he makes it public. He makes so many so well have to deal with it when it comes. If it comes, but worrying about what hasnt happened yet is energy not well spent. Hold on and well figure it out together 📎

(10,222 posts)Worrying about something I have no control over, and cant prepare for, only makes me miserable.
That said, Ive almost being a prepper as far as storing food and having enough warm clothes and blankets if the power goes off.

(13,356 posts)them the Republicans must enact new legislation. And to do that it must pass the House which will be difficult with only a two vote majority. All it will take is two Republicans not voting for it and it will be toast assuming all Democrats oppose it. And with the fractured GOP caucus there will hardly ever be a unanimous consensus.

(17,379 posts)I had a physics professor in college who said before mid-terms, "A little bit of fear is a good thing." We can sit down with a pen and a pad and outline the potential possibilities and what choices we have in how to respond to what is likely to happen.
Game theorists do this.
I would say it is intelligent to worry if that worry leads to strategic thinking, planning and mentally preparing for what is ahead.
