"SNIP............

Politico: “California farmers could soon enjoy bumper crops thanks to President-elect Donald Trump’s pledge to lift water restrictions. But who will pick them if he follows through on his deportation threats?”

“The country’s largest agricultural constituency backed Trump in November, bucking California’s deep-blue electorate over his campaign promises to ‘open the faucet’ and deliver more water to the state’s parched, conservative-leaning Central Valley. But now it’s reckoning with an uncomfortable contradiction: Trump also campaigned on mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, who make up at least half of the state’s agricultural workforce.”

Trump will turn basic food sustenance into a for-profit opportunity to really skin the American people.

7. OK .....i get they are going to 'focus' on the criminal undocumented

but how are they going to do that?

Is this just a matter of making sure anybody arrested that ends up in the county lockup gets deported?

Can't see how that would equate to 'mass deportations'.

Are they going to sweep up groups, attempt to identify the criminals and release the rest?

LOL.....I'm guessing no.

I'm guessing their approach will change based on how much cooperation they can get from local law enforcement.....and will vary from deport them all to almost nothing.

So.......chaos.

Secretly Republicans not only LOVE a cheap, undocumented, and easily exploited labor pool, they know it's the bedrock of a capitalist society... The real problem they have is those migrants left the fields and eventually saved up their money, bought homes, started families, put down roots, opened up their own businesses, sent their kids off to university and now those kids are getting white collar jobs...

I still haven't ever heard a single Trumper say "Yeah, I used to make damn good money harvesting crops and mowing lawns, and I can't wait until those Latinos are all gone so I can get one of those cushy jobs again!!"
