'Joe Biden and his team are working non-stop the last 3 weeks to Trump-proof their accomplishments, including spending 100s of Billions of dollars in federal funding for key projects; confirming judges; using the pardon power for over 1500 prisoners, taking 37 inmates off of death row, and so much more the public may have missed.'Popok reports.

You mean for non-violent drug possession charges who had been on home-release since COVID?

I guess you're not close to the victims that killed themselves because of actions of some of the convicts on the list.

(1,122 posts)9. He commuted all but three prisoners'
Sentences to life in prison ((from death row), because Trump in his first term restarted and executed more than 36 prisoners on death row. The three Biden did not commute, remain on death row are the Boston Marathon bomber, the church terrorism mass shooting and I forget the third one-perhaps the one who murderd at the Jewish synagogue?
Does this help?

You think we should have kept them locked up? I guess you're not a close friend or family member with people you love, who have ever been incarcerated for not hurting anyone.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, criticized Biden's commutation for former judge Michael Conahan, who was convicted in 2011 for his role in the "kids for cash" scandal. Conahan and another judge were found guilty of accepting $2.8 million in illegal payments in exchange for sending juveniles to for-profit detention centers.
"I do feel strongly that President Biden got it absolutely wrong and created a lot of pain here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This was not only a black eye on the community, the Kids for Cash scandal, but it also affected families in really deep and profound and sad ways. Some children took their lives because of this. Families were torn apart. There's all kinds of mental health issues and anguish that came as a result of these corrupt judges deciding they wanted to make a buck off a kid's back, Shapiro said."

And this is just one of them. Some of the people receiving clemency were criminals that destroyed lives, stole millions of dollars, etc. I don't care about their relatives. I care about the victims and the message this action sends to them, their families, and their communities.
