Cenk & Brian Tyler Cohen SPAR over Cenk's MAGA outreach

As some of you already know, Cenk Uygar's been doing the rightwing tour so-called reaching out to MAGA and the rightwing.

This video is a debate on his strategy.

This is the only summary of it you're going to get, so don't ask for one, you're either interested in finding out the pulse of American politics today, or you aren't.

For those that are, I'm curious to your views on this debate.

1. Watching it now !!! Cenk is saying his red line on Swing MAGA voters is if they give TFG a pass on expanding ME war.

Cenk doesn't understand even the swing MAGA didn't vote for economic issues they voted based on tribalism MOSTLY.

A war in the ME that we're not sending our children to wont get a millisecond of eyes from swing MAGA ... NOT a bit.

They'll care about the money but that will **NOT** be something they stand for especially if TFG is still sending money to Ukraine

2. the right is still checked into media now--the left is not

Cenk is just going where the eyeballs are. Democrats probably will take a break from politics until the new Congress is seated and the real fighting begins.

We are in a weird zone now where the Cheneys/Romneys/Bushes have moved into likeable territory for some Democrats, but I kinda feel like that was a temporary convenience and Cenk has the pulse of something here.

I live in a Red area and sometime browse enemy sites. If he endorsed Trump, they would not love him. It would be like if Manchin endorsed Harris. We would accept it, but wouldn't love him.

The difference is MAGA may like wars that benefit them. More land like Greenland is a huge benefit. Bush/Cheney has a different brand of warmongering, called interventionism. They support nation-building like in Iraq, and installing democracies that don't work.

4. Hey Cenk, I'll reach out to MAGA and republicans when they stop lying and acting without proof

For example, I watched the sit down between Young Turk's Ana Kasparian and Glenn Beck. It was nice to hear Beck finally admit that he was wrong about the Iraq war after 911. However, Beck, with his radio show was one of the biggest promoters of that lie! He was willing, WITHOUT PROOF, to promote a lie that started a war. Now he's all "I was wrong". But, he was wrong then too, and he promoted something terrible because he didn't insist on actual proof. It would have been nice if he as a part of the media had insisted on truth and proof.

We all know Trump said, WITHOUT PROOF, that the 2020 election was stolen. We literally had people attack the Capitol and become felons for him based on NO PROOF! Who promotes that unproven lie?... people like Beck.

I know an idiot that thinks, WITHOUT PROOF, that Doctor Fauci "purposely unleashed" COVID on the world to rig the 2020 election.

These are just a few of the things Magats and republicans are willing to act on WITHOUT PROOF!

So Cenk, how about starting with the truth from those you wish to open up to?

17. I have thoughts---

1. Cenk & Ana are looking for relevancy and an audience. I predict that they'll become "former" Democrats who join the trump train like Tulsi and RFK.

2. Cenk disparaged the accomplishments of Biden/Harris, and said they could have done more. He totally disregards the limitations of divided government.

3. He said that Democrats kow-tow to their corporate donors and that's why people voted for trump. FFS---then those voters were stupid and not paying attention to the grifting, bribery, and out right solicitation for donations by trump.

4. We all agree with Cenk that Democrats have a messaging problem. We talk about that all the time here at DU. We want our leaders to get tough and fight back---but once again he disregards the limitations of the existing media.

5. He acts like the right-wing voters made informed decisions about voting for trump and he never addressed the cult following and hypocrisy.
