The U.S. Navy conducted a missing man formation flyover honoring President Jimmy Carter

Jan 9, 2025
The U.S. Navy conducted a missing man formation flyover in honor of the late President Jimmy Carter's Navy service and his time as commander-in-chief.

Carter graduated from the Naval Academy in 1946 and reached the rank of lieutenant. He served until 1953, when he was honorably discharged.

I was 22 when he was elected, 23 when inaugurated. The hope and change was exhilaration!

21 Pilots and 21 gun salutes!

No other current US President will ever receive this Honor!

My very first vote in 1976, I was so ecstatic that he won! An outsider who sought to change the way Americans think. Ahead of his time.

REST IN LOVE, PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER, you deserve it.
