Didnt take long to become the troll farm it was when I last gave up on it. Now every news article has a comment section filled with RW rants and the push bots are throwing Joe Rogan, Kirk, Musk etc . . .
I think Zuck made his choice, and I'm going to make mine. I think the app is dead to me again. Shame as it was much improved over the last 4 years.

(8,032 posts)Probably will keep messenger for the time being but trying to delete content is a pain (seemingly on purpose). Anything I've come across either doesn't work or things like Redact costs mucho dollars (and probably doesn't work either.

(77 posts)My newsfeed hasnt changed one bit. But I dont use it for news or to follow people that arent my friends. Dont care about other peoples comments on things I have no control of anyways. Who needs that frustration?

(22,438 posts)Which in the past week has returned to the pits of Obama Russian troll bots. Every post appears to be a non-human with 100 likes complaining about say fish over water, or Hunter Biden. This is like suddenly in the past week after Zuck kissed the boot. It is noticeable and what made me move to Twitter. Now Twitter is crap and I found Facebook was cleaner. That appears to be dead with this latest news. Probably YouTube is next. Bulwark gets down selected for guy that thinks the world is flat. We are doomed.
Also the Musk paid push content is unbelievable. There is no way based on my likes, I'm interested in Kirk or Shapiro etc . . . All sendly had to be blocked by me.

(48,675 posts)That's where everyone is going wrong. The more we block, the less their hateful noise interferes with our peace of mind. It's more preferable to put a stop to their mental battering, but it is what it is. Until we get a better replacement to Facebook, it's not going to happen.
I wish someone on our side would buy it from him.

I signed up to keep in touch with friends and family, but it's hard to find friends and family when there's so much junk on your feed.

(75,916 posts)Not all of them, of course. But I stay in touch with old friends on the good ones. I also stay in touch with family & friends. I very rarely see obnoxious political posts there, and simply walk around them the same way I would a steaming pile of shit on the sidewalks of life.

(5,416 posts)assumed name for a buy-nothing group where people give away great stuff. Have to redo a friends place who has no $$ and so far have gotten a great rug, sofa, mattress. Way better stuff than Craigs because its from an upscale community.
Wish I didnt have a need for it.
