So Merchan does the equivalent of
falling to his knees and begging forgiveness. Yellow down the entire width of his back. Maybe he'll go into a law firm for white collar criminal defense with I-Lean Cannon. So 34 felonies gets nothing while a minor traffic ticket at least gets a fine. I've seen men sentenced to 6 months in jail for contempt of court when they got laid off from their job and couldn't pay their full child support. I've seen fines for guys who just had rolling papers. Not having you car insurance info with you gets a fine.
Wealthy, white male privilege on full display. We deserve the ridicule of the world. We are an example for nobody to want to follow. Martha Stewart got jail time for lying to the Feds about receiving a stock tip and dumping some shares that saved her less than $50,000 in losses. She got 5 months. She also had to pay big money to the SEC. They also screwed with her about where she had to serve the 5 months. White and wealth didn't save her because for a woman the powers that be will still rake you over and if you are a powerful woman and growing more powerful in your business then your destruction becomes even more imperative to them.
Could you imagine no penalty of any kind if Barack Obama had been found guilty of these same 34 felonies?

He wasn't stinking up the White House when he committed the crimes (or maybe he was, yet went to trial and was convicted) he's not in office now, but he gets the limitless protections anyway, and it seems, slobbering fealty from everyone including members of Congress who should know better.
It's like everyone suddenly developed amnesia. No memory of Russian (and other) fuckery in the 2016 election, but THIS one, oh no, the election was "free and fair" and over a billion dollars in donations to Dems did NOTHING. And now I'm getting begging, literally begging emails for more donations. "The MAGAs are already asking for donations...." Well, DUH. the grifters never stop grifting. There's always some horrible Dem thought or action or imaginary thoughts or actions, to endlessly catastrophize and endlessly grift from.
I'm poor and alone. I don't have anything to give. I'm old and sick and tired of repeatedly getting fucked over. My outrage is on overload and my stress is constant. I don't belong here. I'm empty. I wish I was blissfully ignorant like I used to be, because knowing the truth is killing me, outrage after outrage is killing me. And others, so many others, pretending this is all okay, is killing me.
