Impunity is the word

...Donald Trump was able to commit 34 counts of election fraud with impunity.

The measure that some are celebrating with Merchan's 'sentencing' Trump to the 34 counts he was prounounced guilty of, ignores that there was absolutely no consequence imposed on Trump for the crimes the jury found he committed. He has been able to not only operate as if nothing had confronted him at all, he's able to proceed without admitting any wrongdoing or remorse.

Not only that, the contempt he displayed toward the court in the criminal proceedings, with threats toward court personnel and even the judge's daughter, was met at sentencing with a tribute of 'godspeed' by the judge as he walked away from any consequence to his convicted criminality.

There was an attitude and actual verse of 'voters asked for this,' which may well be a fair assessment for pundits, but not for the judge who is deliberately refusing to impose any punishment as if there was some way of knowing that's what voters chose when they cast their ballots.

It's strange to hear the judge cite the Supreme Court immunity rulings which he, himself, advantaged with his delay of sentencing until after we voted - blaming voters for making that choice, as if there was something in the crimes Trump committed OUT OF OFFICE which had anything to do with the immunity afforded by the court for 'official acts'.

The paternalism from the courts is disgusting enough without the fecklessness and prevarications that fail to buttress these judge's excuses for delaying and denying actual justice in their courtrooms.
