The economy is cratering, thanks to Trump's insane tariff policies, and the Trump cultists are desperate to find a flack meme. You may have noticed videos popping up all over the internet of left wing politicians supposedly advocating tariffs. Particularly 'fair trade' tariffs.

If you look closely, ALL of them are advocating for tariffs against China. Videos of Obama, Biden, or Sanders advocating tariffs against China are not the same. EVERYBODY, from Sanders to Biden accused China of unfair trade practices, and advocated tariffs on Chinese goods.

But all of those left wing politicians are in favor of FAIR TRADE over 'free trade.' Meaning that you practice free trade with countries that have similar wage structures and labor protections; while slapping sanctions on countries that pay slave wages, use child labor, and/or steal patented technology. From a fair trade perspective, it makes sense to put tariffs on China. It DOES NOT make sense to slap tariffs on Canada, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
