All of those Trump voters that thought Trump 2.0 would be just like Trump 1.0 when you thought you had more money in your pockets and things were cheaper. Admit you were wrong.
All of you who said we shouldn't take all the stupid shit Trump says literally because you magically convinced yourself that Trump was just talking shit and didn't really mean it. Admit you were wrong.
All of you who said we were just being a bunch of hysterical liberals for believing him when he said he was going to put tariffs on all imports because you believed he wasn't actually going to do it. Admit you were wrong.
All of you who said there was "peace" during his first term and his "relationship" with Putin could stop the Ukraine war. Now, he's done nothing but bully Ukraine and weaken them, and letting Russia barrage Ukraine as much as they like... all while being no closer to a ceasefire.
Remember when Trump 1.0 told you everyday to check your 401ks? Trump 2.0 doesn't give a single fuck about your 401ks.
Remember when he said he'd work on getting the price of groceries down? Every single policy has done nothing toward that goal.
Now, we all get to live in a more expensive world because you convinced yourselves that this man wasn't as insane as he actually is. You all convinced yourselves that this so-called billionaire businessman was going to put more money in your pocket. Instead, the unemployment rate is rising and the markets are falling.
Congratulations, you played yourself.
Anytime someone was confronted with what Trump says, their response was always "he did tariffs during his first term and nothing bad happened. The economy was great then." They thought they were getting more of Trump 1.0 ignoring what Trump was actually saying. They thought the stock market would be a check on Trump like it was during the first term. All the first term taught him is that he could do whatever he wanted, and his supporters would back anything he did. If Trump was governing like he did in his first term, they would all say that was the plan all along because that is what they really expected. Now that he's throwing that out the window, they have to pretend to like what he's doing now.
To my surprise, I've seen a handful of people admit they were wrong about Trump... but it's not nearly enough. Everybody that pretended that he wouldn't do the crazy shit he was saying on the campaign trail because he didn't do it in his first term, it's time to acknowledge your idiocy.
