Yet for thirty six months i was fortunate that i never found myself in the shit never had to fight in war. And yes Reagan was commander in chief and we’re still suffering from trickledown economics today yet then we did have competent leadership.
Competent leadership in that we never even thought if Weinberger was sober as secretary of defense that question wasn’t even on our radar. Or that William Casey then intel director was a Kremlin sympathizer like we have today.

I used joke with that platoon sergeant as young grunt I had to carry his radio. I’d say if we ever hit the shit especially at night sergeant. I’m gonna have to put chem lights on your fatigues cuz you’re so black in order for me to stay on you or in i don’t accidentally shoot you in confusion of contact.
My point is I’m pissed a four star gets relived and yet we still have stupidity in chain of command substandard people.
