Trump fluffer Comer: Bill Clinton 'prime suspect' in Epstein investigation

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) on Monday said former President Clinton’s alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein should be uncovered during his testimony before members of Congress.

“Everybody in America wants to know what went on in Epstein Island, and we’ve all heard reports that Bill Clinton was a frequent visitor there, so he’s a prime suspect to be deposed by the House Oversight Committee,” Comer said Monday during an interview on Newsmax.

“So, hopefully we’ll win that court battle with that subpoena and see President Clinton in October,” he added.

Comer subpoenaed Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, on Aug. 5 to give testimony in the House GOP’s probe of matters surrounding Epstein, the disgraced financier who died by suicide in 2019. Democrats have joined Republicans in backing the request.

He says "we’ve all heard reports that Bill Clinton was a frequent visitor there". Um, no WE haven't. We heard Trump state an obvious lie about it but other than that NOBODY has ever made such an accusation. Clinton has said repeatedly he never visited the island. And it would be hard for him to cover it up as he has secret service protection at all times. There has only ever been 1 person I'm aware of who claimed to see Clinton on the Island and that was only ONCE. NOBODY has ever accused Clinton of any wrongdoing in association with Epstein.

On top of all that, Clinton has publicly called for the Epstein files to be released.

I think the Republicans did this because they think Clinton will fight the subpoena. He might, but I think it's more likely he goes ahead and testifies and proves the Republicans are the biggest idiots on the face of the earth.
