"DAMMIT It's Not Alzheimer's! Here's Why It's A Far Worse Nightmare Scenario"

Frank George, a former Senior Fellow at the NIH who taught university-level courses on topics like on narcissism, mental health disorders, neuroscience and addictions, now writes a newsletter on Substack called The Gaslight Report. He ended up there after Trump's budget bs got him and his course on Pathological Narcissism dumped, according to the article.

George planned a different post, until someone with a far bigger platform posted an article that's gone viral that he strongly objects to caused his writing plans to change.

Because someone with a big audience pushed a post claiming Trump is on an Alzheimer’s-specific infusion drug, linking it to everything from bruises to sleepiness to “confusion.” Sadly, the post is spreading.

Well, circumstantial click bait evidence doesn’t hold up in court.

and

A serious symptom analysis quickly debunks Alzheimer’s.

Trump’s symptoms are consistent with another, less common but more disruptive and, in his case horrific, disorder — Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), especially the behavioral variant (bvFTD). This is the variant characterized most strongly by severe changes in personality and behavior.

✅ A HUGE and Critical Distinction

This isn’t guesswork pulled from thin air. This is the conclusion drawn from analysies by hundreds of clinical and research experts in mental health.

Interesting article and makes sense. That leaning forward posture of Trump's is highly indicative of Frontotemporal Dementia.

1. Frontotemporal Dementia
Wed Dec 10, 2025, 01:02 AM
Yesterday

a group of brain disorders causing nerve cell loss in the frontal and temporal lobes, leading to significant changes in personality, behavior, and language, often starting younger (45-65) than other dementias. Symptoms include apathy, disinhibition, impulsivity, loss of empathy, or difficulty speaking/understanding words, with common types being behavioral variant (bvFTD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA). FTD is progressive, affecting areas controlling emotion, judgment, and communication.

He's always been a word-salad-spewing, narcissistic, hate monger. Now, he's just more so.

All of these folks positing that Trump has a chronic cognitive disease seem to be going on the assumption that his current behavior came out of nowhere.

The only thing that’s changed is he seems increasingly unable to filter his language and behavior to the sleazy approximation of what he thinks is charm.

it says there has never been an instance in medical literature of a narcissist or sociopath suddenly gaining empathy.

Sorry.

hateful, vituperative, vulgar, and vicious?

Does difference in degree, not kind, count as "changes" ?

First of all we're not going to find out until after he is dead and gone, perhaps long after. Second, no matter the case, be it Alheimer's, FTD, mini strokes, or whatever, the takeaway is the same, the man's cheese has pretty much slid off his cracker and he is no longer fit for office(not that I ever thought he was, but speaking medically he's not fit). And given that he's getting regular IV treatments, MRI's, etc. I'd say he's not much longer for this world. His handlers are trying to flog him through to the midterms, and after that I bet he will be gone. Vance will be Veep, and if Thiel and his fellow oligarchs have anything to say about it, he'll have at least two terms(he's the perfect patsy/puppet for them).

Weeks? Months? Years? It’s pretty obvious there are people who know about this and are covering it up, but at some point, that won’t be possible short of his completely disappearing from the world stage.

He won’t get better, it’s just a question of how fast he gets worse.

his mixed up, delusional stories.
Alzheimer's brings confusion and forgetting. But Trump is confabulating – mixing things together and believing that. I'm not even sure it's lying if he really believes it.

More from Frank George:

“Trump isn’t just losing his grip on reality — he’s losing his brain. And the part that’s left is run by a malignant narcissist.”

FTD on its own is tragic:

Together, they make a uniquely combustible threat.

The grandiosity that once had a shred of calculation now comes out as unfiltered delusion.
The sadism breaks free to wreak vengeance and cruelty on perceived enemies and innocent victims.

The PPA (primary progressive aphasia) version. More correctly, that’s what most of his doctors in Boston (and I) think that he has. The other alternative is Alzheimer’s. He has a complicated medical history; a previously unknown congenital AVM (arteriovenous malformation) in his cerebellum caused two strokes in his very early 60s, followed by difficulty walking and talking intelligibly (aphasia).

Eventually, he couldn’t talk at all, and then he couldn’t read. He started falling all the time and his wonderful wife had to ask for help from hospice. She had to put him in a nursing home this year when he couldn’t sit upright without landing on the floor. This is someone who owned a successful engineering firm.

This whole process has taken about ten years. From what I’ve read, both FTD and Alzheimer’s can take from three to fifteen years to kill you. Whatever brain disorder Trump has, I doubt that it’s going to kill him anytime soon, although he could (and probably will) become completely mentally incapacitated much quicker.
