Butcher shop holiday options at a good Rhode Island grocery chain. At $14.99 to $48.99 / lb., We might have to have turkey instead.

(3,600 posts)7.99/lb. 3.3 lbs. Not a lot of marbling, but a decent steak and a couple of short ribs for the price.
Sold out fast.

(969 posts)I looked at the prices a couple weeks ago. We've swallowed hard and paid for a 3-rib roast in years past. Cooked it medium rare and served it with Yorkshire Pudding and all the trimmings.
This year, I think it's going to be Lebanese chicken and rice. Or kielbasa and potatoes. I can do sides to coordinate with the main dish - I make a mean baba ghanoush and hummus. Or beets with the sausage and potatoes.

(4,218 posts)Gonna eat some of it, then freeze several sections for my
bean with bacon and ham and potato soup! One of the best things I cook...
I make that in huge batches to freeze, which gives me somewhere between
18 and 22 containers containing nearly 2 bowls of soup each...
