These left-handed handshakes are even more intense than the right-handed ones.

And makeup on the right hand.
not only was Trump's right hand discolored on Christmas Eve, but it appears his left hand is now discolored too

(114,371 posts)If his hands look sore, they are. I don't imagine his arms are much better.
Why the hell they haven't put in a Portacath for frequent infusions is beyond me unless he's scared of the surgery and pitches a snot slinging fit when the docs bring it up.
At this rate, they're going to be out of sites and at that point, they're just going to have to let him show the whole world the extent of his dementia. It is not going to be pretty.

(63,791 posts)use a vein in his leg, or place a visible catheter in his hand, if they could even find a usable vein. He's too vain to allow himself to look weak by having a visible port.
I'm hoping he'll insist they stop the treatment.

(114,371 posts)unless there's a compelling reason, like extensive casting or amputation of the upper extremities. Complications just increase the farther away from the heart you are.
Plus, the valves are made out of cast iron and they're a pain to access.

(38,132 posts)The resolution is too low. When the resolution is too low, the gradation between dark and light is too dramatic to appear like a gradual change in colors. If you look to the right and slightly up, there are several similar lighter colored lines of pixelation.

(31,215 posts)like venipuncture sites, 2 or 3 sticks, about 3-6 days ago. My guess would be a simple blood draw. I cant imagine why he prefers the hands but he is a very stupid man with strange habits and a historically poor capacity for logic so . . .
As an aside, Ive not seen any evidence that he would be on an IV drug for Alzheimer's, because I havent seen any evidence of Alzheimers type dementia. Given his lifestyle, diet and known medical history, I can buy cognitive decline and perhaps early-ish stages of vascular dementia. I also see evidence of a minor stroke.
DuckDuckGo AI overview of Alzheimers vs. vascular dementia:
Search Assist
Alzheimer's disease primarily causes memory loss and difficulties with language and problem-solving, while vascular dementia often leads to issues with attention, planning, and reasoning, and may present with sudden changes in symptoms following a stroke. Both conditions can overlap, but the early symptoms of vascular dementia may not emphasize memory loss as much as Alzheimer's.

(38,132 posts)The light colored area that might look - at a slight distance from the picture - like the flakes of loose skin which develop around the edge of an opening in the skin are simply the result of pixelation of a low resolution image.
I've been restoring old photos and retouching pretty rough medical images (as a digital retouch artist for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep) for more than two decades, and am currently working on a BFA in photography. I spend (and have spent) a lot of time looking at pixelated images.
The bruising on his hands does not look to me like it comes from shaking his hands.
The regular bruising is odd - and suggests something which is repeated on a regular basis - like blood draws. I don't think it is likely it is from "2 or 3 sticks" though. When I was hospitalized on IV heparin for DVT at the thoracic outlet, I stopped at counting at 100 draws from my left hand during the first 2 weeks. The repeated sticks didn't cause bruising remotely similar to the bruises on his hand. A single blown stick, on the other hand, can cause bruising like that visible on his hands.
I believe he does have some sort of cognitive decline (comparison between speech patterns decades ago and now - as well as way too many similarities to my own spouse who has diagnosed cognitive decline). Figuring out what specific kind is above my pay grade.

(1,095 posts)My grandfather died of a massive, heck I have no idea what it was, but blood basically exploded from his nose, mouth, ears and other places. I guess it was some sort of high blood pressure, not sure what those are called. If anyone knows, I would appreciate knowing the correct term. That was many many years ago before I was born.
