Conservative ’80s baseball legend breaks with Trump: ‘Donald Trump is compromised’

A celebrated former center fielder for the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies has turned on President Donald Trump.

As recently as October, 62-year-old Lenny Dykstra was on social media praising Trump, calling horror author Stephen King a “hypocrite” for criticizing the president’s $250 million White House ballroom project.

On Dec. 29, however, Dykstra on X accused the president of being “compromised” without offering additional detail.

Dykstra’s anti-Trump post stands in contrast to the other things he has published on X. His feed is mostly filled with pro-conservative and anti-liberal posts, including a repost that attacks Chelsea Clinton while simultaneously sharing a conspiracy about Clinton’s mother, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The article goes on to describe a nasty Xhitter exchange where Dykstra implies that Dump doesn't keep his promises, especially with being "America First."

Yes, Dykstra is a foul piece of work in his own right.

The baseball legend also has dealt with legal issues. In 2009, Dykstra filed for bankruptcy and in 2012, he pleaded guilty to money laundering and bankruptcy fraud.
