The Justice Department’s latest release of material related to its investigations into Jeffrey Epstein offers fresh details about the rich and well-connected people who circulated in the orbit of the late disgraced financier.

Kathy Ruemmler, a legal star on her way to becoming Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s top lawyer, exchanged messages with Epstein starting in 2016, referring to him as “Uncle Jeffrey” and raving about gifts of boots and a handbag.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick planned a visit in 2012 to Epstein’s private island and maintained contact with the sex offender far longer than he has previously claimed, according to the documents.

Elon Musk said he was “well aware that some email correspondence” with Epstein could be misinterpreted and used to smear his name, responding to the latest release in a reply to a user on X.

What is apparent is the effort that the DOJ is doing to still cover for many of the rich and famous, and especially trump, with such statements as:

"Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election,” the department said in its statement. “To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”

What a crock. People should be skeptical of comments coming out of this DOJ. Under trump they are NOT an independent organization, but part of this fascist regime.

How would the DOJ know that some of the claims in the documents are "unfounded and false"?

More than ever this is the time for an independent press who will not be intimidated by this administration.

There really needs to be an investigation into the "so-called" suicide of Epstein. There is no such thing as coincidence.

would anybody misinterpret that? It is what it is. End of story.

they were part of an international sex child sex trafficking operation and Melania was helping Maxwell
get young girls for that industry.
