It would be nice to see other states follow suit, but I am skeptical that will happen. After all it was only California who challenged the Texas redistricting move by offering a proposition to redistrict California as a counter measure to what Texas did, and it passed overwhelmingly. Of course the republicans are challenging the California redistricting to the Supreme Court, but since the Supreme Court had no problem with what Texas did, I think they would be hard pressed to rule against California, since California actually went directly to the people to vote on it.
