The three I can think of would be the October 7 attacks (36 children), the Oklahoma City bombing (19 children), and Anders Brevik's attack on the youth summer camp (in the area of 60 children, mostly teenagers).

(113,684 posts)but I call a death toll of death toll of 60,034, including 18,592 children and 9,782 women in offensive attacks on Gaza to be at least worthy of consideration in answer to your question. Apparently the BBC does as well-even if they do quote the Hamas-run health ministry. I predict the argument that this was not a single attack. My response? DEAD IS DEAD and children were clearly overwhelmingly killed. And yes, no one has forgotten the horror of October 7 as pointed out in the OP. I certainly have not. Nor am I defending those attacks nor Hamas. But neither am I defending our bombing of that school full of young girls in Iran, nor Israel's indiscriminate killing of children in Gaza.
More than 60,000 people killed in Gaza during Israel offensive, Hamas-run health ministry says

It said on Monday the death toll had reached at least 60,034, including 18,592 children and 9,782 women.
At least 112 people were killed in the 24 hours before late Tuesday morning, with 22 people killed while trying to get aid, the ministry said.
Women and children were among those killed in overnight and morning strikes on homes, hospital sources and witnesses told the BBC.
Israel launched its offensive in response to the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others taken hostage.
In the central Nuseirat area, al-Awda Hospital said 30 people, including 14 women and 12 children, were killed in attacks on homes overnight and on Tuesday morning.
Many of those killed were related, with 19 named as members of the Abu Ataya, Siyam and Nabhan families.
Four members of the al-Agha family were killed and others injured in an Israeli strike on a tent sheltering displaced individuals in the coastal area of Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, according to Nasser Hospital.
Nine others were killed in Khan Younis, local hospital sources and witnesses say.

(71,718 posts)... Sept 11, the Tamils bombing in Columbo, Sri Lanka that happened just before Sept 11, killed more than Sept 11 and took down almost half of the buildings in the city center.

There are more including attacks on schools in Nigeria.

(7,921 posts)Death toll in Moscow Theater was 132; most if not all children were released by the terrorists on the first day, according to your own link.
The Sri Lanka attack is a good addition to our list here. It is thought that 45 children died in that attack, according to your own link.
