Some serious rain is heading for the US South this week

1. We got middle of the night weather alerts here in Austin...

for a little thunder followed by mild rain...

not even close to flash flooding.

3. We got them here in Dripping Springs too.

We ended up with about an inch and a half of rain in about six hours. A few roads were closed this morning due to flooding. Personally, we have a gravel walking path in the greenbelt behind our house and it’s pretty much washed out. Rain came down hard in bursts.

4. Just visited nephew there nice area

5. We got four or five alerts starting well after midnight. There were two house fires from lightening. ...

... The low water crossings were closed and running pretty fast. I vould hear the creek out back running till this morning. We've received more news of a lot more rain and thunderstorms coming.
