Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has ongoing plans for the Supreme Court, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
"Alito isnt merely a favored legal mind of MAGA world," said the report. Uniquely among the right-wing justices, "he has managed to merge pro-Trump, antiestablishment forces with the more traditional wing of legal conservatism, long dominated by groups such as the Federalist Society."
"In so doing, he is quietly charting the future of a conservative legal movement that is facing an identity crisis" and it's what allows him to almost exclusively vote on the side of Trump and the GOP in political cases, noted the Journal, as he was in the majority of basically every case where the GOP-appointed justices were a bloc, and even wanted to at least partially uphold Trump's executive order abolishing birthright citizenship.

(4,395 posts)any member of the Federalist Society from becoming a judge or justice. That's because their ideology contradicts the Constitution and undermines it. The 1A allows them freedom of speech and association, so that's fine. But they should never be able to do the harm they have done to our country again. I'd love to see how quickly that it would shed members and shrink once legal folks realize it will harm their future opportunities.
Alito and all the Federalist Society should be removed because those judges have all issued opinions and decisions that have changed the constitution through their interpretations and precedents.
