(3,420 posts)The difference between the candidates who generate real enthusiasm and the ones that get a ho-hum response is not "progressive versus centerist/corporatist". I mean, that is how they identify, but that's not the real difference. All Dems at least give lip service to what we broadly call "progressive values" (e.g. affordability, LGBT rights, health care, money out of politics, voting rights, billionaires paying their fair share, AI data centers, etc.) But that moves nobody.
What moves people is REAL proposals, REAL solutions, TANGIBLE plans so that voters can feel like the candidate is actually committed to delivering some concrete changes to benefit their lives. People are damn sick of hearing politicians just talk. They want ACTION.
I am just not interested in a wishy-washy Dem replacing a wishy-washy Collins. Mainers should be pushing hard to select a candidate who will actually fight for REAL solutions, not just talk about it.

(3,121 posts)The people of Maine are the deciders. Everybody else is along for the ride. They are driving. Everybody else is just offering directions. Time is of the essence. It is imperative that we come together and support their choice.
The Senate and ultimately, the Supreme Court are at stake.
