Jewish Voice for Peace needs an SF Bay area organizer

https://jewishvoiceforpeace.catsone.com/careers/index.php?m=portal&a=details&jobOrderID=7187601

The San Francisco Bay Area chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace is looking for an experienced and energetic part-time, Local Organizer to support our members in their activism and expand our chapter’s potential. Jewish Voice for Peace is a national grassroots organization with over 60 chapters and 200,000 online supporters, dedicated to a US foreign policy toward Israel and Palestine that promotes full equality, human rights, and respect for international law.

The Local Organizer will be a part of the National JVP Organizing team, but will be focused on organizing in San Francisco and the East Bay. This is a 20 hour/week position. The Local Organizer will be responsible for building, sustaining, and strategically deploying the power of our chapter toward justice in Palestine. The organizer will work with chapter leadership to broaden the base of local activists in the chapter, develop leadership within the membership of the group, and run and win campaigns.

The organizer will coordinate with other activist groups in the Bay Area, cultivate and maintain good working relationships with other Palestine solidarity groups, and make connections with progressive and anti-racist organizations, leaders, and movements. The Local Organizer will also act as an ongoing liaison between the chapter and JVP national staff.
