How about a "Notice" section or a bulletin board?

We are retired, own a fuel-efficient car, don't mind sleeping in a sleeping bag if necessary and still have our health---relatively speaking.

We have protested/marched/sat-in/canvassed from DC to Tampa to Selma to Indy and St. Louis. We would love to do more, but there doesn't seem to be any one centralized source of "what's going on where".

If a national candidate needs help or two more warm bodies are needed to sit/stand/march face to face and toe to toe with the Forces of Darkness and Ignorance, we can manage that most of the time if we have a couple weeks notice.

What I envision is a simple, no-frills description of who, what, when and where plus any unique or special instructions that might be helpful. A link or links to sites giving more details would be a bonus.

Any chances for an "Activism Bulletin Board---Upcoming Opportunities"?

and it's hard to know what is happening and if it's worthwhile to expend energy; this would be a great service.

What might make it even better would be an interactive map.

Not that there aren't also online or phone opportunities, but for any that are real life actions, marches, meetings, etc., it would be mighty cool to include a search option or map with flag pins and zoom capabilities.

Great idea!

It would make it easier than going through all Facebook, MySpace, Instagram, twitter , etc.

in the US and one for events taking place outside the US. A couple of cable stations dedicated to same would not be bad, either.

I also wish people in media would print info about events more than a few hours before the event is scheduled. Even assuming you are ready, willing and able to fly from California to Washington D.C. for a demonstration, you need more than 12 hours notice.
