I mean, really... you vote for someone, they get elected and THEN they switch parties? Sounds like cheating to me.

that, if they change parties, they'll refund all the money the party raised and spent electing them.

It's time to get past this "we can't ask ANYTHING of these people" mentality.

We're gonna collapse if our party leadership keeps tolerate disloyal pols fleecing us like this.

to run for district 19 party chair to spearhead recall efforts. I have no idea how to do that, but I'll be talking to the chair of the Anchorage Democrats in the next couple of days. I may just have to get involved beyond keyboard warring. Yikes.

The party can't recover if it shows no self-respect.

And refusing to punish people for this sort of disloyalty is not only a lack of self-respect, but outright institutional self-loathing.

Good luck with your meeting with the Anchorage Dem chair. And good luck with the district chair campaign if you decide to go there.
