Trump's shunning of transition planning may have severe consequences, governance group says

WASHINGTON (AP) — A good-governance group is warning of severe consequences if President-elect Donald Trump continues to steer clear of formal transition planning with the Biden administration — inaction that it says is already limiting the federal government’s ability to provide security clearances and briefings to the incoming administration.

Without the planning, says Max Stier, president and CEO of the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service, “it would not be possible" to "be ready to govern on day one.”

The president-elect's transition is being led by Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick and Linda McMahon, the former wrestling executive who led the Small Business Administration during Trump’s first term. They said last month that they expected to sign agreements beginning the formal transition process with the Biden White House and the General Services Administration, which acts essentially as the federal government's landlord.

But those agreements are still unsigned, and the pressure is beginning to mount. The delay is holding up the federal government’s ability to begin processing security clearances for potentially hundreds of Trump administration national security appointees. That could limit the staff who could work on sensitive information by Inauguration Day on Jan. 20. It also means Trump appointees can’t yet access federal facilities, documents and personnel to prepare for taking office.

Who is going to enforce them? TSF loyalists? What a joke. I said in an earlier post: This country is so open to an attack from the outside now. The chaos and disorganization will make it worse.

Cutaways to Vince McMahon will interview staffers as they browse the green room buffet.

Elon will be the guest of (dis)honor and deliver the keynote in the State Dining Room at 7 p.m. EST.

Contributing corporate sponsors will be McDonald’s Prime Hydration and Coca Cola

The entire transition evening will be broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime for a donation of $149.99 made payable to Never Surrender Inc.

They never have to go before the Senate for confirmation. This seems to be a loophole. Evidently there is nothing (other than tradition and public shaming -- neither of which mean anything to Trump) that really requires anybody to be confirmed, as they can remain in an acting role indefinitely.

Trump doesn't need any security clearances. The President gets a clearance by virtue of being President then he can order clearances to any and all. Remember -- Jared Kushner failed every single background investigation because of foreign business connections yet Trump ordered a Top Secret/Special Intelligence (TW/SI) clearance for him.

Elon Musk no doubt will have access to our most precious secrets. Putin will receive copies of the President's Daily Intell Briefing.

Face it, people, we are now Nazi Germany in the 1930's, only MUCH, MUCH worse.

He doesn't see the need to prepare to take the reigns of government. As a dictator from day one, he's not going to take any advice, and his "team" will do his bidding.
In his mind, that's all that's needed.
He's been given a mandate to be a strong man, and will mold the government, and all it's agencies, into a shape that suits him alone. I expect there will be wholesale removal of anyone and everyone who knows how to govern in virtually all of the governmental agencies.
With project 2025 as his guide, he will destroy anything that actually helps people, so what does he need to know about how these agencies work, and what they are doing now. All that is going away.
Trump will deal with things like security clearances the way he deals with everything else; he'll simply demand that his people receive whatever clearance they need.
Who's going to challenge him?

Next year, we're getting a "fresh start", all essential planning has been taken care of well in advance by the incoming gang of fascists, oligarchs, and useful idiots. Therefore, any "transition planning" or coordination with the outgoing Biden administration would be a waste of time.

rumpie doesn't need any transition planning because he's already got everything planned out. Plus using
only his brain he will give everyone new in his administration TOP SECRET clearance after they raise
their right hand and swear absolute loyalty to Der Fuhrer. No worries he's got everything under control.

40. The Beauty of Civilisation
Sat Nov 9, 2024, 06:22 PM
Nov 9

The Beauty of Civilization has been all but been destroyed in the U.S. by this savage horde that has absolutely refused carte blanche to cherish the small steps we have made towards a civilized society. Our "Quest for Fire" has decided we are better off in the caves rather than seek the light of an enlightened society. They seek to destroy our wonderful global literature, they have Fahrenheit 451ed it; next will be what remains of the arts. So my dear Brothers and Sisters it's time to pick up the gauntlet, we have the freedom to think and spread the good doctrines of love, tolerance, forgiveness, charity, faith and hope. You can legislate all you want and executive order all you want but these beautiful virtues are ours and cannot be taken away from us. Every one of these monsters will eventually die and they will leave behind nothing of any human or spiritual value. in fact there will be a very long line of Hitlers.Take heart the real battle is about to commence. Vive le U.S.
