President-elect Donald Trump has picked Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., to be his national security adviser, according to four sources familiar with the decision.
Waltz is a Green Beret veteran who served in Afghanistan, the Middle East and Africa. Since 2019, he has represented a congressional district in the House, where he's a member of the Armed Services, Foreign Affairs and Intelligence committees.
The Wall Street Journal first reported Trumps pick. Waltzs office didnt immediately respond to a request for comment.
Waltz is a particularly hawkish member of Congress when it comes to China. He's a member of the Houses China Task Force and has argued that the U.S. is underprepared if there is a conflict in the region.

Of course - DeSantis will schedule that special election much faster than when Democrats seats in FL became vacant

But that isn't always quick

Yeah, right, tRump is going to apply leverage to Putin to get him to negotiate. He has little leverage on Russia or Putin (rather its the other way around) and tRump certainly has no willingness to apply what leverage he might have. But he certainly can apply leverage to Zelensky (and will).
Then comes Moldova and maybe the rest of Georgia and northern Kazakhstan ...
Estonia, like the other Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia) is a NATO member. However, it's also on some near-term hit lists, and Russia did bomb the Kyiv residence of Estonia's ambassador to Ukraine.
