Harris tells supporters bruised by election loss that 'no one can walk away' in forward-looking speech

Source: CNN

Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday presented an image of forward-looking resolve in her first major remarks since conceding her election defeat, imploring young people to “stay in the fight” as the year ends and the beginning of President-elect Donald Trump’s second term approaches.

“The movements for civil rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights – the United States of America itself – would never have come to be if people had given up their cause after a court case or a battle or an election did not go their way,” Harris told a crowd of young leaders in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

The vice president said she has been approached by supporters over the past month “telling me they feel tired, maybe even resigned.”

While Harris’ remarks struck an optimistic tone, the setting belied some acknowledgment of where she and Democrats fell short in their failed effort to defeat Trump, who made significant inroads with young people this election cycle.

2. All due respect, we most certainly CAN walk away. The effect is gaslighting.

Didn’t we see a massive enthusiasm gap, the discouraged trump people believing their side was losing? The absence of trump signs?.i still have her voice in my head saying “We are not going back”.

We ARE going back, though.

Some leaders were out of touch, OR it was stolen and they don’t want to complete a recount anywhere for some reason, either way, i remember.

We deserved more than the nothing she gave to help us understand. People wanted battleground states recounted to make sure the system was still in one piece but there wasn’t a response from her. So funny how she is projecting here. All of this left a mark.

8. I think she expected, as did many of us, a different outcome.

Personally, I think she was in shock for several days after the defeat. But her positive attitude is something we need. Democrats are the Positive Party. Republicans aren't.

with young people this election cycle."

Didn't Harris notice the many thousands of "young people" demonstrating against Netanyahu's genocide against the Palestinians on college campuses all over America?

Why did she just quietly go along with President Biden's support for that war criminal Netanyahu?
(Don't mean to knock Joe Biden, I love him & voted for him twice; but, imo, he should have put more pressure on Netanyahu to seek peace with the Palestinians)

Might that have been the reason many "young people" ended up voting for VonShitzInPantz?
