Donald Trump alleges juror misconduct in NY hush money case. Prosecutors call it 'hearsay'

President-elect Donald Trump has alleged there was juror misconduct in the New York criminal hush money trial that led to his conviction earlier this spring on dozens of felony counts, although the details aren't public and weren't made through a sworn statement under oath.

Judge Juan Merchan revealed in a court order on Monday that Trump made the allegation through a Dec. 3 letter, which was released a day later on Tuesday with redactions blocking out the specifics.

In his Monday order, Merchan wrote that he decided Trump's letter should be made public for the sake of transparency, and that it should also have redactions to protect juror privacy and safety.

"Allegations of juror misconduct should be thoroughly investigated," Merchan wrote, while noting that a judge isn't allowed to rule on such claims unless they are made under oath through a formal motion. "It is significant to this analysis that (Trump's) letter consists entirely of unsworn allegations," Merchan added.

1. Hopefully there are no jurors who will take the money and become this "reporter of misconduct" they have concocted

He's trying to discredit the court case. It's obvious.

5. What tells me this is related to the Facebook S poster's prank post about his cousin being in the jury?

Some guy who instigates on Facebook 🙄 said his cousin or a friend of his cousin was on the jury and that the night before the verdict was read (meaning they’d already voted on the charges) this guy’s cousin/friend said Trump would be convicted. RW media jumped all over this and then quickly acted like it never happened.

6. If he can save himself from a $500 million fine by bribing a juror $1 million, do you think he would do it?

It's not as if he has to worry about being prosecuted. He knows he can delay any legal action against him for many, many years, if not getting it dropped all together.

He has no motive to be honest. His lies have made him the most powerful man in the world. Why would he change course now?

It doesn't have to be true, he just needs to say it and the cult will run with it. Just follow the playbook. De-legitimize truth, the Judge, DOJ. It works. Time and time again, it's been proven. Some people believe what they want to believe.
