Musk threatens lawmakers who support stopgap funding bill
Source: ABC
Elon Musk, a close ally of President-elect Donald Trump, came out against House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., going forward with a stopgap government funding bill on Wednesday, saying, going so far as to threaten lawmakers who vote for it.
After posting on X earlier Wednesday that "This bill should not pass," Musk escalated his rhetoric, warning that "any member of the House or Senate who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out in 2 years!"
"Please call your elected representatives right away to tell them how you feel! They are trying to get this passed today while no one is paying attention," he implored his over 200 million followers.
He later posted that "No bills should be passed Congress until Jan 20, when @realDonaldTrump takes office."

(7,125 posts)I think he could be more dangerous than Trump because he has unlimited funding behind him, and not a shred of honor, integrity, or human decency.
He's taking on the role of Goebbels for Trump.

(20,161 posts)He holds no elected office, not a lawyer or anyone of influence but has TSF hypnotized with his astronomical net worth but theres a limit to what he can do and its time someone reminds him hes not a shadow president and to back off his threats. This should be stopped and right away before he gets any further out of hand.

At lower sub-anesthetic doses, psychiatric side effects are prominent. Most people feel strange, spacey, woozy, or a sense of floating, or have visual distortions or numbness. Also very frequent (2050%) are difficulty speaking, confusion, euphoria, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. The symptoms of psychosis such as going into a hole, disappearing, feeling as if melting, experiencing colors, and hallucinations are described by 610% of people. Dizziness, blurred vision, dry mouth, hypertension, nausea, increased or decreased body temperature, or feeling flushed are the common (>10%) non-psychiatric side effects. All these adverse effects are most pronounced by the end of the injection, dramatically reduced 40 minutes afterward, and completely disappear within 4 hours after the injection.

Im going to go out on a limb here and say Musk sees these adverse effects as a plus.

(407 posts)I would be asking myself some hard questions right now.
Trump/Musk are already starting with the threats of supporting my opposition in the next election if I dont do what they say. Is there any chance I will be able to make it through the next two years (and the two after that) without doing something that pisses them off? What is the likelihood that I will do or say something in the next two years that they will dislike if not at the time, then in retrospect when they need a scapegoat after shit goes wrong?
If they are already treating me as a potential enemy rather than a loyal party member there is almost no chance that they will support me when I need it.
So maybe I should gather other likeminded legislators and spend the next two years defanging them so that they wont have the power to bring me down in the next election.
Its either that or try to be the perfect lapdog and lickspittle and pray that they dont decide to oppose me just because of my name, face, the way I slurp soup, or something completely out of my control. How do I like those chances?
Simple self-preservation the only thing that really matters to me.
