NY governor: Trump would need to show remorse for hush money pardon

Source: The Hill

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) said President-elect Trump would need to show remorse if he wanted to receive a pardon for his conviction in his hush money case.

“There is a pardoning process in the state of New York. It is lengthy,” Hochul said Wednesday at an unrelated news conference. “It requires a couple of elements. One is remorse.”

Hochul said everyone will be treated fairly in her pardoning process.

“No one will be treated any better, or any worse, by me when I make those life altering decisions as we’re looking at petitions that are coming in throughout the year,” she said. “So, no one gets extra favors, no one gets treated worse.”

to re-evaluate the pardon system in this country and make drastic changes.

Neither presidents nor governors should hold the sole power of pardoning anyone, anytime. Those decisions should be made by a bipartisan board of criminality experts and psychologists.

As it stands now, Trump can (and will) instruct his moronic minions to break whatever laws are necessary, for his benefit and pleasure, with the promise of a full pardon assured.

His parents put him in a military school for 9th thru 12th grades because his behavior was so bad at home and he was expelled from his private elite high school in Queens. The strict military training actually did seem to improve his behavior for a few years, according to his biographers. But that was the one and only time.

The only thing the convicted felon is remorseful about, is, he got caught and didn't get away with it.

Where's you head Gov. Hochul ?

She could easily say she “feels” he’s sorry or something. Wonder what kind of pressure she’s getting to do it.
